Dear Colleague, Some minor updates to DL_MESO 2.7 have been made and are now available for registered users to download as a revised version of the package (2.7 rev 08). You do not need to re-register for this update if you have previously registered for an earlier form of version 2.7: the revised package can be downloaded from the same location as before and decrypted using the same password. If you would like to use version 2.7 but have not yet registered for this version (e.g. if you have previously registered for version 2.6), please do so via the link from the DL_MESO website at www.ccp5.ac.uk/DL_MESO Changes made to DL_MESO include corrections to reading CONFIG files in the DPD code to ensure correct detection of numbers of particles and their species, omission of many-body DPD self-potential terms for pairs of frozen particles, corrected shear rate calculations when using Two-Relaxation-Time (TRT) collisions for non-Newtonian rheological models and a minor bug fix in reporting fluid densities during LBE calculations with Swift free-energy interactions. Other minor changes include clean-ups of the main DPD and LBE codes and their utilities to remove extraneous variable declarations and the addition of OpenMP multithreading for many-body DPD self-potential calculations when using this form of the DPD code. Updates to one of the DPD test cases (SurfaceDrop), the user manual and README files have also been made. (Many thanks are due to David Gunn at UKRI STFC Daresbury Laboratory for highlighting the CONFIG file reading issue.) Michael Seaton 2020-03-18
