Dear Colleague, A bug has been found in the Dissipative Particle Dynamics (DPD) code of DL_MESO 2.5. An incorrect value for the random parameter of the Langevin barostat is currently being assigned: while this has no influence on the ability of the code to achieve the required system pressure, it does affect the resulting distributions of system pressure and volume and produces overly large standard deviations for these properties. Many thanks are due to Yaser Afshar (Johannes Gutenberg University) for bringing this bug to our attention. To fix the above bug, please replace line 196 in config_module.f90 with sigmalang = SQRT (2.0_dp * bbaro * psmass * temp / (3.0_dp * tstep)) Minor changes have also been made to the user manual to reflect the above modification: this can be downloaded from the main DL_MESO website. We strongly recommend that all registered users of DL_MESO version 2.5 should either make the above code change or re-download the package using the instructions received on registration to get the corrected version of the software. Re-registration is not required and the same password is used for decryption. Michael Seaton 2012-09-03
