CCP5 (Computational Collaboration Project 5 - simulation of condensed matter (ccp5.ac.uk) wishes to strengthen links between the CCP5
community by supporting and funding three initiatives, Undergraduate bursaries, postgraduate Industrial placements, and the visitor program.

Undergraduate bursaries

Several student bursaries for collaborative summer projects are available. The scheme provides funds for students enrolled in a UK University to carry out a computational-based project over the summer. The maximum available financial support per bursary is £3000. The closing date for applications is midnight 29th of April 2022. The CCP5 executive committee will decide soon thereafter which proposals are funded (details on the assessment and eligibility criteria can be found in the application form). Priority will be given to new applicants.

Postgraduate Industrial Placements

Few bursaries are available for PhD students enrolled in a UK University to carry out an industrial placement. Applicants can request up to £3,000 to cover living and travel costs. (Please note that VISA costs cannot be covered). The deadline for applications is 29th of April 2022. The CCP5 executive committee will decide soon thereafter which proposals are funded (details on the assessment and eligibility criteria can be found in the application form).

Visitors program

CCP5 will sponsor a distinguished visitor for a lecture tour across UK and Northern Ireland. The visitor can be an academic at a foreign University or a Scientist from an overseas Research Institution or from industry. The visitor can visit UK Universities and Research Centers. Tour that involves more than one institution will be prioritized. Up to £2500 can be requested to cover accommodation and travel cost (VISA costs are not covered). Details on the assessment and eligibility criteria can be found in the application form. The CCP5 executive committee will decide soon thereafter which proposals are funded (details on the assessment and eligibility criteria can be found in the application form).

The deadline is midnight of 1st of April 2022.
