The workshop will bring together theorists, simulators and experimentalists from a wide range of disciplines in which nucleation and growth are key issues of importance. It will provide a forum for exchange of ideas on theoretical models and computer simulation techniques, and to identify the ranges of validity, usefulness and potential of the various approaches. The workshop will be concerned with the underlying physics and chemistry of nucleation and the processes taking place at the microscopic, mesoscopic and macroscopic stages of growth, and the factors that affect these. The workshop will help to identify areas most in need of advances in theory and molecular simulation techniques.
