Collaborative Computational Project 5 - The Computer Simulation of Condensed Phases

CCP5 is the Collaborative Computational Project for computer simulation of condensed phases and is funded predominantly by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) of Great Britain. It was founded more than 25 years ago to promote the involvement of UK scientists in collaborative research in this area. This is achieved through a programme of one- and two- day workshops, through facilitating tours of the UK by internationally leading scientists and through a series of flagship projects designed to produce cutting-edge software for the benefit of the CCP5 community. CCP5 also runs an annual Summer School that instructs 60-70 graduate students in the art of statistical-mechanics based simulation methods.

CCP5 NEWS

David Cooke is organising a Northern Atomistic Simulation Group meeting at the University of Huddersfield. This will be held on the 11th January 2012 - click here for further details.

CCP5 is organising two visitor tours for spring 2012. The invited speakers are Prof. Greg Voth (University of Chicago) and Prof. Peter Bolhuis (University of Amsterdam) . Institutions and research groups interested in hosting or meeting the visitor are welcome to get in touch with the CCP5 Secretary.

CCP5 Conference and Summer School

The CCP5 Summer School 2012 will take place between the 22nd and 31st July at Cardiff University. We are still finalising some details and registrations are not being taken (we hope to open the registration page around mid December 2011 and we will announce this via CCP5 emails). The format of the summer school is going to be similar to that of 2011 and further details are on the following link (please note the web pages are in the process of being updated).

The 2012 CCP5 Annual Conference will take place University of Huddersfield. More information will be available shortly.
